Communicate STEM
Program Plan
Model:  Program leaders’ quarterly communication of the STEM Program Plan secures participation and buy-in from STEM teachers and key stakeholders.

Monthly communication about our STEM program is sent to all members of our STEM Leadership Team.  We discuss, review, and evaluate the the STEM plan during our monthly STEM meetings as well as during School Improvement Team meetings. During our monthly staff meetings, STEM is discussed so that all staff can be informed or give feedback on upcoming or past programs.

Twice a year invitations are sent to parents, local school board members, county office personnel, elementary and middle school principals in our district, STEM community partners, and the media to attend our STEM Celebration nights.

STEM information is also communicated on Mrs. Newman, our STEM/Math Specialist’s, website.  There parents, teachers and students can find information about STEM around our school, upcoming STEM challenges, and resources to use at home or in the classroom. Mrs. Newman also communicates STEM information on Facebook,  Twitter, and the HES website.
