HES uses G Suites for Education. G Suite is an integrated communication and collaboration solution, hosted by Google and managed by Henderson County Public Schools.  G Suite offers the  ability for our students, faculty and staff to communicate, store files and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations in real time from school, work, or home, all within a secure online environment. At HES, we have 3 student use only chromebooks in every classroom, as well as computer lab classroom of 26 Dell PCs. There are also 3 carts available for classroom use, allowing 1:1 classrooms with either iPads, chromebooks or laptops. HES also borrows science kits including Mac Books from NC State's The Science House in order to expand the student's access to a variety of technologies.

HES has schoolwide subscriptions to IXL for math instruction at all grade levels, Reading A-Z for all grades, RAZ-kids for grades K-2 and Rennaissance Learning for grades 3-5.  We also have a site license to Letterland and Letterland Story Phonics for grades K-2. Our district provides a subscription to World Book Online for both school and home.
